Marvel Rivals Season 11 is just over a week away. Season 10.5 ends and the new season goes live on Friday, November 13, 2026, which means a new ranked season, a rank reset, a new battle pass and, after the one-hero Season 10, a promised return to two new heroes. NetEase hasn't revealed the full season yet, so this guide separates what is officially confirmed from what is still a leak, explains how the rank reset will hit your account, and runs through the Season 10.5 balance changes that the Season 11 meta will be built on.

Season 11 Release Date and Start Time

The date comes straight from NetEase's official Season 10.5 roadmap, which ends with Season 11 on November 13, 2026. NetEase hasn't posted an exact start time yet, but every season and half-season in recent months has gone live at the same hour, after roughly two hours of maintenance:

  • 09:00 UTC (10:00 CET)
  • 04:00 ET / 01:00 PT
  • 18:00 JST

Expect the servers to go down for maintenance about two hours before that. If the pattern holds, the official Season 11 patch notes and balance post will land a few days before launch: the Season 10 balance post came three days early on September 8, and the Season 10.5 one on October 6. Look for them around November 10.

The last update of Season 10.5 already shipped on November 5. It's a small one with no downtime: a Worthy Spider-Man bundle, a Cosmic Cook bundle for The Thing, and two hero fixes. Moon Knight's Talons of Khonshu from his Blood Moon Team-Up with Elsa Bloodstone now damage a blocking Doctor Strange, and Captain America's landing in his Stars Aligned Team-Up with Winter Soldier now lines up with the spell field so the buff actually applies.

New Heroes: What's Confirmed and What's Leaked

Season 10 was the first season in Marvel Rivals history to launch with only one new hero, Gorr the God Butcher, and Season 10.5 added no hero at all. That left the roster at 54. In Dev Vision Vol. 21, creative director Guangyun Chen said a single-hero season "isn't the new normal" and promised two new heroes for Season 11, which would take the roster to 56.

That promise is official. The names are not. As of today, NetEase hasn't revealed either hero, and here's where the rumors stand:

  • Doctor Doom - the most talked-about leak, and the one that fits the story best. The whole of Season 10.5 has been a build-up through the Path to Doomsday events, and the second half of Season 11 lines up with the MCU's Doomsday in theaters this December.
  • Nightcrawler - his files have leaked before, and a gallery card spotted in October pointed to him again. Treat this one with care: the same leaker called Nightcrawler for Season 10, and he never came.

Also keep in mind that "two heroes in Season 11" doesn't have to mean two heroes on November 13. From Season 3 to Season 9, the second hero usually arrived with the half-season update about four weeks after launch. The reveal itself usually comes late: the Season 10.5 Dev Vision video went up the day before launch, so the Season 11 heroes may only be shown a day or two before the 13th.

The Season 11 Rank Reset Explained

Half-seasons like 10.5 don't reset your rank, but full seasons do, so November 13 is the end of the Season 10 ranked season. The reset rules have been the same since Season 5, and nothing suggests they'll change:

  1. You play 10 placement matches before you get a real rank.
  2. Your starting estimate is your Season 10 final rank minus three divisions. Finish Diamond I, for example, and your placements start from around Diamond IV.
  3. Placements move you up to about one division either way. After the ten games, your rank is adjusted by between -100 and +100 points based on your own performance, not just wins and losses.
  4. The top end is capped. Based on past seasons, players who finished Celestial II or higher restart around Grandmaster II, so even the best players have a climb ahead of them.

Placement parties are limited too: you can queue with up to three players, and their divisions need to be within three of each other.

What this means in practice: your final Season 10 rank is what counts, not your peak. If you're one good night away from the next division, the last week of Season 10.5 is the time to push. Every division you gain now is one less you'll have to climb again after the reset.

Don't miss the Season 10.5 rewards

Two things to finish before November 13:

  • The Gold reward costume. Jeff the Land Shark's Razor-Tooth costume needs 10 Competitive matches in Season 10.5 and a rank of Gold or higher.
  • Your rank crest. Crests are given out for the rank you end the season at, and you need your placements done to get any season rewards at all.

Season 10.5 Balance Changes: The Meta You're Taking Into Season 11

Until the Season 11 balance post arrives, these are the numbers on live servers. The Version 20261009 balance update was a big one, and Season 11 changes will build on top of it, so it's worth knowing where every hero stands. NetEase summed it up as Iron Man getting a new missile mechanic, Phoenix more damage, Gorr a trim and Jubilee more healing. Here are the changes that matter most.

Duelists

  • Iron Man (reworked). Micro-Missile Barrage missiles now track nearby enemies on their own, fly four times faster (15m/s to 60m/s) and lock onto each target up to five times, but each missile hits for 10 instead of 20. Armor Overdrive missiles track too, at 10 damage instead of 15. Less aim, more reliable damage. With Thor, the Unibeam's outer ring goes from 70 to 80 damage per second.
  • Phoenix (buffed). Cosmic Flames hit for 65 instead of 60. Spark detonations deal 45 direct and 20 splash damage (up from 40 and 15). The trade-off: they no longer heal her. Instead, each hit gives her 5 Bonus Health for 4 seconds, up to 25. Endsong Inferno now applies two sparks per explosion.
  • Gorr the God Butcher (nerfed). Shadow Scythe drops to 50 damage plus 2% max health (from 55), Shockwave to 55 (from 60), and his ultimate, Twilight of the Gods, lasts 10 seconds instead of 12. In return, Living Abyss comes back faster (12s instead of 15s), though it moves slower.
  • Cyclops (buffed). Optic Blast hits for 23 (up from 22) and takes 0.3s off its cooldown per hit (up from 0.25s). Ruby Rage costs 3,400 energy instead of 3,700, and Kinetic Kin with Gambit lasts 8 seconds instead of 6.
  • Hawkeye (buffed). Faster Piercing Arrows, a quicker Crescent Slash recovery and a wider Hypersonic Arrow (5m instead of 3m). Moonlit Slash, his Team-Up with Cloak & Dagger, now heals him for as much as it heals allies.
  • Scarlet Witch (nerfed). Chthonian Burst's spell field drops from 40 to 35 damage per shot, so she zones less.

Vanguards

  • Hulk (buffed). Bruce Banner's Gamma Ray Gun shots fly 120m/s instead of 80m/s, and hitting himself with a Gamma Grenade now gives 100 gamma energy instead of 50. With Wolverine, the Furious speed boosts go from 20% to 25%, and Unstoppable triggers at 400 health instead of 300 on a 45-second cooldown instead of 60.
  • Magneto (buffed). His Team-Up projection with Emma Frost deals 50% damage instead of 45% and lasts 6 seconds instead of 5.
  • The Thing (buffed). His Team-Up with Invisible Woman, Unbreakable Forces, comes back in 15 seconds instead of 20, and its healing triggers after 125 damage instead of 150.
  • Devil Dinosaur (nerfed). Base health drops from 850 to 825.

Strategists

  • Jubilee (buffed). Sparking Sprint now heals her for 25 health per second. Her ultimate, Firework Finale, heals 180 per second instead of 150. With Blade, Vampiric Kin also heals allies for 15 per second over 6 seconds. The one downside: Dazzling Detonation blinds for 0.8 seconds instead of 1.5.
  • Gambit (mixed). His healing and damage cards charge a second faster (7s instead of 8s), and his Team-Up with Jubilee lasts 2 seconds instead of 1.5. But his ultimate, Ragin' Royal Flush, searches a smaller area (30m instead of 40m) and gives less of a jump boost.
  • Adam Warlock (buffed). His Team-Up with Ultron heals more: 18 instead of 16 per Cosmic Cluster, and 7 instead of 5 from the explosion's field.

What this means for the Season 11 meta

The pattern is clear: NetEase is rewarding consistent, team-based damage and healing and pulling back on burst. Auto-tracking Iron Man is now one of the easiest Duelists to get value from, Phoenix and Cyclops hit harder, and Jubilee plus Gambit is one of the strongest healing pairs in the game. On the other side, Gorr lost a chunk of his burst after a dominant launch, and Scarlet Witch zones less. If you're picking a hero to climb with after the reset, the buffed heroes above are a safer bet than anything the balance post nerfed.

The two new heroes will shake this up. New heroes in Marvel Rivals usually launch strong, and the Season 11 balance post will almost certainly touch some of the heroes above. We'll update this guide when the official notes are out.

Frequently Asked Questions

When does Marvel Rivals Season 11 start?

On Friday, November 13, 2026, according to NetEase's official roadmap. Based on every recent season, expect it to go live at 09:00 UTC (04:00 ET, 01:00 PT) after about two hours of maintenance.

Who are the new heroes in Season 11?

NetEase has promised two new heroes but hasn't named them yet. Doctor Doom and Nightcrawler are the most-reported leaks, but neither is confirmed. The second hero may arrive in the mid-season update rather than on day one.

How much rank will I lose in Season 11?

Your starting estimate is your final Season 10 rank minus three divisions, and your ten placement matches can move that by about one division either way. Very high ranks are capped, so Celestial II and above are expected to restart around Grandmaster II.

Do I keep my Season 10 rewards?

Yes. Rewards are based on the rank you finish Season 10 with, as long as you've played your placements. For Jeff's Razor-Tooth costume, you need 10 Competitive matches in Season 10.5 and a rank of Gold or higher.

Get Ahead of the Reset

The reset hits everyone, but you don't have to grind back through the same divisions alone. If you'd rather start Season 11 strong, SwiftBoost can play your placement matches, get you back to your rank with a rank boost, or win ranked games with you in duo. Hand-played by top-ranked players, with live order tracking from start to finish.
